Committee Description:

The year is 2189 AD, and the world is ending. Earth’s surface is littered with quarantine zones and ghost cities, and governments have fallen in favour of desperate survival. The last ditch effort comes in the form of the New World Committee (NWC).

Many years earlier, through intense viral gene editing, scientists created a new viral vaccine called NEUROVAX, an airborne disease that targeted the root causes of age-related neurodegenerative diseases. Initial testing in geriatric rehabilitation centres was a success as patients regained their cognitive abilities. By 2173, the patients were reintroduced into the world. 

This reintroduction was the beginning of the end. They called it NEUROFALL.

In patients without neurodegenerative conditions, when infected with the virus, the immune system killed the brain within a month, and there was no treatment. Eventually, the skeletal American government put forth a directive known as the New World Committee, an organization tasked with the protection of humanity.

You are a member of the NWC, tasked with only two things: escape and colonise the stars.
